Small group instruction is a powerful way to meet the diverse needs of upper elementary students, but it can feel challenging to manage with comprehensive curricula like Benchmark Advance and StudySync. This session will show teachers how to make small groups purposeful, efficient, and engaging using the resources already built into both programs. Participants will learn practical strategies for grouping students, planning targeted lessons, and integrating scaffolds for English Learners and striving readers. We’ll also explore classroom management tips to keep the rest of the class meaningfully engaged while groups are running. Teachers will walk away with clear routines, sample lesson structures, and confidence in using Benchmark Advance and StudySync small group components to maximize student learning.
