About me
My experience as an educator has strengthened my passion for creating inclusive classrooms and supporting English Learners through research-based, engaging instruction. I currently teach 5th grade at Canyon View Elementary, where I also serve as the EL Lead Teacher. In addition, I have the privilege of supporting colleagues across the district as a GLAD ACE Trainer and Elementary EL Mentor, opening my classroom to model integrated and designated ELD practices. I am also pursuing my doctorate in Educational Leadership, where my research focuses on designing responsive MTSS frameworks to better meet the needs of students who don’t always “fit inside the box.” At the heart of my work is a belief that when teachers are equipped with the right tools and community, every student can thrive.
